Copper Hills Golf & Country Club is a Semi-Private, 27 hole golf facility located an hour southeast of Flint and about an hour north of Detroit in Oxford, Michigan. Copper Hills Golf & Country Club has three 9-hole golf courses. These courses can be combined in pairs to form three different 18 hole course challenges. The nine-hole courses are The Hill Course, The Marsh Course, and The Jungle Course.
Copper Hills Golf & Country Club first opened for play in 1997 with the opening of the Hill and Marsh Nine. The Jungle Nine opened in 1998. The courses were designed by Curtis Wright.
The Hill Course 3,390 yards, par-36.
The Marsh Course 3,344 yards, par-36.
The Jungle Course 3,149 yards, par-36.
The layout and hole designs provide a good and interesting mix of holes with all elements of golf, hills, trees, sand, water, elevation change, and undulation to the greens. The course is challenging from all tees, and is likely not best suited for the higher handicapper or beginner. There's narrow fairways and landing zones, forced carries, and doglegs forcing you to work the ball in order to get to the best position.

My golf group normally plays this course once a week. Pace of play is normally outstanding and design is great (Northern Michigan feel). A tough course for hackers. A largely undiscovered gem of a course - outstanding value.

I have played most courses in the Detroit metro area and this one is by far the best around. It you haven't played this one then you are missing out on one of the best. I also played this course in May as well and yes the rough was rough but understandable when most courses in the area were closed due to the Spring monsoons.

The Copper Hills course is poorly maintained. The rough is extremely rough. The cart paths are cracked, broken, and falling apart. The carts are tempramental - there were at least three abandoned on the first 9 holes. Pace of play was horrible - took us an hour to play the first two holes and sitting behind a two some and another 4 some waiting on 3 to tee off.
This could be a great course, but lack of attention to conditions and slow play made this a bad experience. I was wishing I was somewhere else enjoying golf rather than the enduring the agony of Copper Hills.

Had a great time on the course and enjoyed it. Will be back to play it again. I would recommend this course to anyone who enjoys the woods and golfing.
